To commemorate Black History Month, Nextdoor partnered with the LA Art Show to feature a collection of digital works from your neighbors on Nextdoor. The #BlackHistoryMonthContest is a celebration of culture through art.
We're thrilled to announce our Black History Month Contest winners! Sasha Igwe takes home the Grand Prize, leading an impressive lineup including Morgan Bissant, Kollin Washington, Thomas Uzzell, Brooklyn Ervin, Cymphonie Williams, Amah Dongo, Bereket Barkley, Marie Stalworth, and Carlos Delarosa Jr. A heartfelt thank you to all who participated, whether through comments, shares, or likes on your favorite entries. Each submission was a vibrant tribute to Black culture through the lens of art, and we commend all artists for generously sharing their talents and creativity.
Winners were celebrated at the LA Art Show in front of the world’s most renowned gallerists
The Grand Prize Winner will also receive $500 in gift cards, and will be highlighted in Los Angeles Magazine.
